"Sankofa," derived from the Twi language of Ghana, signifies "Go back and fetch it." This principle is symbolized by the Adinkra emblem depicting a bird that gazes backward with an egg in its mouth, symbolizing the act of reflecting on our history to gain wisdom for progress. It underscores the significance of acknowledging our roots, honoring the challenges and successes of our ancestors, and leveraging this understanding to shape a brighter tomorrow.
